Prior to Enrolling... Some Important Health Considerations Because CPR training sessions require some physical exertion as well as close physical contact with fellow students and mannequins, there are certain health considerations that must be considered prior to enrolling in any CPR-related course: • Students or instructors may not participate in mannequin training if they have sores on the hands, lips or face, a known positive hepatitis surface antigen, an upper respiratory infection, AIDS or a current active infection or recent exposure to same. Please speak to your instructor if you have any questions in this area, or reschedule your course if necessary. • CPR is hard work, both in mannequin and actual practice. If you have a medical or coronary history, you should check with your physician and ask his/her advice before you begin any of these courses. • Be sure to wear comfortable clothing to class, as CPR necessitates working with mannequins on the floor. Sweaters may be brought as the temperature may become uncomfortable due to the climate or air-conditioning system. Textbooks must be obtained before class, so course fees MUST be prepaid! Refunds will not be given without 24-hour cancellation notice by student. Classes may be suspended due to inclement weather conditions. Please call 646-5491572 or 917-3404038 for related information.
